Kinship Care
Kinship care is defined as full time care, nurturing and protection of children by relative, members of their tribes or clan, godparents, stepparents or any adult who has a kinship bond with a child. Kinship Care allows a child to grow into adulthood in a familiar family environment. The service is designed for children and their kinship and/or biological parents when parental care has been determined to be inadequate or when a voluntary plan with a kinship caregiver is in place until reunification or another permanent alternative is achieved. The service is available to children to affirm their connections to family, community and culture through a kinship care placement.

Independent Living Services
The transition to independence is certainly a challenge which awakens separation anxiety common to all individuals. For young people in foster care, this challenge may be more difficult as there is often no legacy of security and love. The Bair Foundation desires to facilitate a positive transition by preparing foster adolescents for independence through the use of supervised individual living services in a supportive environment. This program is for children currently in care with The Bair Foundation who meet the eligibility requirements.

Parent Empowerment Program
The Parent’s Empowerment Program (P.E.P.) is a Bair Foundation program developed to provide parenting instruction to family members involved with CYS and other social service agencies.

In Home Services
In-Home Services is a program for families in crisis. Without intervention, the unsafe home environment places children at risk and may necessitate their removal from the home to substitute care. Intervention is provided in the home environment utilizing a multisystemic approach. In situations where children have already been removed from the home, the In Home Services Program can provide after-care for families whose children are transitioning back into their homes.
Assessment Home
Therapeutic assessment services is a program for children and youth by which their needs and subsequent service levels are assessed within a 45-day period of time by various professionals and highly trained treatment foster parents and agency staff.
Outpatient Services
Our outpatient program is designed to help families during crisis or to offer enhancement in specific areas of need. Before placement of a child occurs outside the home, outpatient personnel provide intervention through a multi-systematic treatment approach with the purpose of maintaining the family unit.
